This week, the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Freelancers met representatives from across different disciplines in the creative industries for their first evidence session in Parliament, exploring how the Government can better support freelancers during periods of economic uncertainty and crisis.

A meeting of the APPG was held on 2 June, to further discuss the group’s intended work programme, focusing on the key issues that are affecting the UK’s freelance workforce.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Freelancers held its inaugural Annual General Meeting on Monday 9th March 2026, formally establishing the group, the proposed financial and secretariat support agreed, and the APPG priorities for the future.
